One click turns any shop’s order page into a shipment
Shiptimize’s plugins cover the big shop platforms, but merchants on the rest typed every address by hand. We built Snapshot, a Chrome extension: one click captures the order page, AI vision reads the address and the items, and the shipment and label are created.
The situation
Shiptimize connects online shops to carriers across Europe through a plugin for each shop platform. A merchant on a platform without a plugin had no fast way in.
What made it hard
The extension has to read order pages it has never seen, from any shop system, and turn them into a correct shipment every time.
What we did
- Built a Chrome extension with a button on the order page. One click captures the page, and Claude vision reads the address, the order and the items.
- Sent the result straight to the shipping API, which creates the shipment and the label.
- Added a shop connection service with adapters for Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and PrestaShop, the base for syncing order status back to the shop.
- Reworked the flow across several versions, and wrote down the reason for each change.
- Covered it with automated tests.
Before and after
What we would do differently
The extension asks for access to every page so it can show its button. We accepted that for the first versions and flagged it for review. Next time we would design the narrower permission in from the start.

More for Shiptimize
Shop integrations moved off an old core system, with no downtime
Merchants print labels all day, and a bug here ships a parcel twice. We moved every integration to a new service, one at a time, with the old system ready to take over at any moment.
One pickup map for every checkout
The last screen before a shopper pays had been copied into every plugin, and each copy had drifted. Now one phone-first widget serves every platform and brand, and a fix lands everywhere at once.
